Site last updated February 17, 2019 As high quality German Shepherd breeders, we focus on breeding striking long coat German Shepherds, as well as traditional short coat old fashioned German Shepherds, as family companions out of hip and health tested parents. Current health testing on our German Shepherds may include hip x-rays (veterinary evaluations, OFA hip testing, Pennhip testing), OFA elbows, TLI testing for exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, OFA cardiac certification, degenerative myelopathy testing, AKC DNA profiling. All of our German Shepherd puppies come with a 2 year genetic health guarantee that does not require that a puppy be returned. In addition to health and temperament, we also focus on German Shepherd longevity with having quite a few long lived German Shepherds in our lines. Our big foundation male, Ash, is almost 14 years young and is in the pedigrees of the majority of our dogs.

As German Shepherd breeders, our focus is on dogs that tend to be naturally large German Shepherds (also known as giant German Shepherds) due to their impressive size and are generally larger than a standard size German Shepherd Dog. They are considered old fashioned German Shepherds due to their lack of angulation, meaning that they have a straight back and a sturdy appearance compared to the dogs found in today's show ring. While many of our own dogs are long haired German Shepherds, we also produce and occasionally offer short coat German Shepherd puppies for sale. We offer a range of colors including sable, black and tan, black and red German Shepherd puppies, bicolor, solid black, white, and other variations.

Please be aware that there are people and/or German Shepherd breeders out there claiming they breed or sell "Pioneer Shepherds" or "Pioneer German Shepherds". Our kennel name is NOT affiliated with any other breeders. A Pioneer Shepherd can ONLY come from Pioneer German Shepherds! If anyone has German Shepherds for sale that claims to be affiliated with us, please check WITH us to find out as we have had people misrepresent this in the past. Our dogs are atypical, but are 100% purebred German Shepherd Dogs. They are NOT Shiloh Shepherds or King Shepherds.
